Our Services
We offer an extensive range of services. Learn more about what we provide below, and let us know if you have any questions or special requests. We look forward to adding you to our long list of satisfied clients here at Southern Pine Needles!
Long Pine Needle
The longleaf pine produces needles in fascicles of three needles that range in length from 8 to 18 inches. The longer the pine needle, the better the pine needle will stay in place. If you have a place that has very high winds, you need to go with Slash pine needle. Pine straw also works well on hills and will not wash away when the rain comes.
Pine Bark Nuggets
Pine bark mulch, when applied several inches deep, helps retain soil and keeps it from eroding into the surrounding areas. This is helpful for areas of plain dirt with sporadic plants, such as border gardens along fences, around tree trunks and throughout gardens.
Trailer Load of Pine Needle
Trailer loads of pine straw are offered at wholesale prices to Landscapers, Retail Lawn & Garden Centers, Municipalities, Golf Courses and Schools.
Wheat Straw
This agricultural byproduct has a huge number of uses. While some are quite traditional like the bedding for animals and mulch in the garden, it can also be used as a quality cattle forage, heating fuel, ethanol production, or even as a building material.
Dyed Triple Shred Hardwood Mulch
Made of shredded bark from hardwood trees such as maples and oaks, this sturdy mulch compacts over time so it resists blowing or washing away. Because of its staying power, hardwood mulch is ideal for sloped beds and gardens in wet climates. This specific mulch can be dyed into anything the customer wants. Our best sellers are Brown and Red but, you may choose any color of your liking.
Triple Shred Hardwood Mulch
Hardwood bark mulch is the most common variety of mulch and is best used as a general all-purpose option. Hardwood mulch comes in many different colors and sizes. It decomposes quickly and offers good drainage for putting over the top of existing plantings, and it helps to prevent weed growth.
Slash Pine Needle
The shortleaf pine produces needles in fascicles of two and three needles that range in length from 6 to 8 inches.
Pruning
We also offer commercial-scale pruning! Pruning rates differ from job to job. If you would like more information on pruning, please call Chad at 336-521-5332.

"We appreciate the support they give Scouts by helping supply pine needles for our fundraiser. This provides a way for scouts to work to pay their own way to camp and pay for other outdoor activities. Thank you Logan and the entire team."
